I am excited to announce that I have been awarded Best of Houzz 2017 for service! I owe this honor to all the wonderful reviews I received on in 2016! Many thanks to my fab clients from the past year!

Did you see that cute little badge on my homepage and blog sidebar?! Best of Houzz 2017 for service!  So cool.

I'm a little tardy on the "2016 in review" blog post...but it is still January, so I say its not too late! Here is a look back on some my fun projects in 2016.

I designed a vintage surf themed playroom for a cute kiddo! Such a fun project! My favorite part was the VW Bus play tent! You can see all the photos here.

I loved designing this blue and white living room/entry way space! My favorite color combo ever! Check out the after pictures my client sent me here!

One of my coolest projects was designing this small living room & kitchen condo space in downtown Austin! It was a fun challenge to pull together pieces my client already owned with new, stylish furnishings. Loved the after photos my client sent over!

And of course, I can't leave out my little girl's nursery design! It was one of my most enjoyable projects of the year! You can see all of the after photos here

Here's to 2017!! Excited to see what is in store!

Happy New Year!

Fall Decorating Inspiration

I can't believe it is already September! Fall is just a short while away and I have been thinking about fall decor.  Today I have some fabulous fall decorating inspiration to get you in the fall decorating mood!

September 22 is the first day of Fall, which means it is nearly time for the holidays! GULP! Well, here in Central Texas it still feels like summer, so for now I will just have to imagine the greatness that fall has to offer (i.e. cooler temperatures!!!).  How about some decorating inspiration to get us in the fall mood!

Pumpkins are the best symbol of the harvest season.  How about a pumpkin vase/planter?!

How about a pumpkin as a canvas for art?! Love this!

Something simple as a branch of colorful fall leaves can add so much warmth!  You can pull off a similar look as below with these or these.

These wheat branches are also a simple way to bring fall indoors!

I am loving the use of fruit in fall decorating as well.  Colorful red apples just scream fall!

What about other utilizing other fruits such as pears, grapes, and figs?! This centerpiece is beyond amazing!

Infusing pops of fall orange colors can also add so much cozy warmth to your home.  All it takes is a pillow or two and a soft throw.

And clearly a roaring fire helps! Though those of us still enduring 90 degree temperatures will have to wait on that.

E-Design Reveal Photos: Transitional Living Room

Client ProjectsSarice GutmanComment

I have client reveal photos today! In my last blog post I wrote about the e-design plan for my client's transitional living room and dining room space.  Today I am going to show you some photos my client sent me of the living room portion of the design.

If you will recall, here was the final design board for the transitional living room.

And here was the BEFORE.

And here is the AFTER!!

I'd say I am most pleased with how gorgeous that chandelier looks installed! It really is a statement making light fixture.  I have always admired it, but unable to use it in my own home, I hoped that I could find a client who would love it.  Success!

I'm also thrilled with the home office arrangement.  Having such a small space to work with, there was no room for an actual desk.  The modular media center had a desk add on option that was PERFECT for my client's needs.
