Today is a fun day for me on the blog as I get to share the after photos from my client Megan's coastal nursery! The timing is particularly fantastic since this nursery will welcome a cute little squishy baby any day now! Now, sit back, relax, and get ready for the adorableness.
First, lets recap. Back in April, I revealed Megan's finished nursery e-design board.
I kept the color scheme light and airy, as per Megan's request, by utilizing light colored furniture and recommending light colored wall paint. Color was infused into the room with various shades of blue and turquoise. This was the mood board I sent her as part of the e-design that gave her the overall picture of the deign plan aesthetic.
Before the nursery, the room was utilized as a guest room. It was the perfect blank slate for fresh new paint and an invasion of cuteness.
Here is the finished coastal themed nursery! Notice: overexposure to cuteness may cause excessive smiling, acute feelings of joy, and a prolonged good mood. You have been warned.
Everything turned out better than I had expected! I love how Megan mounted a large nautical chart of Nantucket over the crib instead of adding another gallery wall grouping (that's one of the great things about e-design- you can take a detour from your design plan anytime!). And don't even get me started about those anchor diapers- how adorable! I think my favorite part of the whole design coming to life is the out-of-this-world cute seagull mobile I was able to find. I can't get enough of it! Megan decided to use the rug in the original e-design plan in a different room for now, but plans to introduce it in the future. Now the only thing that would make this room even cuter would be a baby- any day now!
Now, before we wrap up, a quick before and after comparison. Who doesn't love a good before and after?!
